We look forward to welcoming you to the next Leaders Connect event to hear from inspirational non-profit sector leaders:

Martin Bisp Founder and CEO of Empire Fighting Chance
and
Poku Osei Founder and CEO of Babbasa

These two exceptional leaders will share their experiences of failure, and how it has helped them, and their respective organisations get to where they are today.

Many of us might understand that learning from mistakes is an important part of being a successful leader. However, it can be very uncomfortable and it’s natural to want to avoid failure at all costs. This can then lead to stagnant, risk averse teams who struggle with uncertainty.

Martin and Poku are both passionate about embracing so-called failure and shaking up the non-profit sector to encourage diversity of thought and practice.

Come along to hear first-hand from these two founder/CEO’s who have achieved the seemingly impossible by celebrating failure.

Guest Speakers

Martin Bisp

Martin is the co-founder and CEO of multi-national award-winning charity Empire Fighting Chance.

They have also developed a network of boxing clubs across the UK who have they trained and are supporting to deliver their programmes. Empire is also an official partner with the city of Medellin, Colombia.

Martin is a member of an All-Party Parliamentary Group, the UN’s 17 rooms initiative and is the only UK based advisor for a global network of cities working in violence prevention.

There was such a wonderful relaxed tone for the Leaders Connect event, creating a really welcoming and connecting atmosphere. This enabled effortless networking. I met lots of interesting people, two of which I have contacted since. The speaker was of such a high calibre, and coupled with a nice lunch, I couldn’t recommend this event highly enough.

Lizzie Briggs

Director of Development

It is really hard to find good and relevant networking events outside of London that are pitched at the right level. Leaders Connect is just right. The opportunity to connect with other leaders, from different types of organisations, is really beneficial. It can be lonely when you head up a small organisation, so the chance to share challenges and explore new ideas is really important.
